"Peace"
I was upset and torn apart,
I felt I could die,
I felt like someone had ripped my heart,
But God heard my cry.
My nerves were very shaken,
What was to become of me?
I had seen so much taken,
But God's peace comforted me.
I thought all hope was dead,
I just couldn't bear to see,
Then I remembered what God had said,
He said, I will never leave or forsake thee.
I thought if you haven't left me,
Then where in the world are you?
I guess you just can't see,
How it is to be in these shoes.
Then I was told,
Oh, dear child...no,
Why do you have to be so bold,
You know I could never leave and go.
You are the one I love,
I watch you everyday.
I see from my throne,
And all that comes your way.
Never think I'd leave you be,
And please try not to cry,
You're better off with me,
Soon you'll live on high.
I created you unique,
I have a plan for you,
You were molded by MY technique,
But for now I'm just not through.
There will be trials along the way,
But think of when they're done,
You'll live with me one day,
And boy will we have fun!
Dear child, keep strong,
Never ever give in,
That's where you'd go wrong,
And with me on your side, we'll always win.
