"Worldy to Godly"
I had all the world had to give,
Riches, fame and all,
But it wasn't the way to live,
I began to fall.
I could buy an expensive car,
An entertainment center too,
I could travel wide and far,
But none of this would give me you.
I went to church one Sunday,
I heard the songs of grace,
But I couldn't seem to pray,
I didn't like this place.
It was so peaceful and nice,
But I just chose a life of sin,
I knew you had paid the price,
But I didn't believe with you I'd win.
I thought with money I could do all there is to do,
But the truth is, that I must confess,
Without your love my skies aren't even blue,
Without you, God my life is a mess.
I once chose riches over you,
I had the high-class rank,
But to you I promise to be true,
I'd choose you over all the money in the bank.
Life looks good with fancy cars and homes,
But it's not all it's cracked up to be,
It won't give you peace, it will only make you roam,
Choose God don't choose not to see.
With God I have everything I love,
I have a special glow,
His love is as peaceful as a dove,
And with Him I never have to put on a show.
