"I Need You"
Lord, I need you tonight,
The devil is trying to scare me,
Please take away my fright,
Dear Lord you can make him flee.
I look out the window all in a daze,
At the world enfolding all around me,
My life is like a giant maze,
Sometimes it's hard to see.
I don't understand why,
All this falls upon me,
It makes me want to cry,
And think you can't hear my plea.
It seems my life is a big mess,
I seem to always fumble,
But then you relieve my stress,
And remind me during this life I will stumble.
Sometimes I'm so stubborn,
That I choose not to believe,
I know you get concerned,
And you give me your blessings to receive.
Lord I know that I have failed you,
And don't deserve your love,
But you've always been true,
You never push and shove.
Lord the devil is pulling me,
Then you reach towards my hand,
You pull me back to safety,
And for you I make a stand.
I promise to always be servant,
To you I'll always be true,
My prayers are always fervent,
Lord with all my soul I love you.
