"Seize the Day" Seize the day as if it were you last, Make a stand for what you believe, Seize this moment, don't dwell on the past, Open the door and my blessings you'll receive. Time is to short to say there's always tomorrow, There's never a spare moment to lose, So even when there is pain and sorrow, Your path is what you choose. What is one of the things we always do? We say I don't have the time right now, But my question is when will you, At least try, even if you wonder How? When someone comes to you, And says I need to talk, Are you the one that is true, Or are you the one that turns away and walks. When someone says I need you to help me, What is it that you say? Do you say sure just tell me, Or do you think can't it wait for another day? When someone asks you about belief, Do you take a stand? Or do you hope someone will help be a relief, Are you the one who tries to understand? When someone says do you have just a moment, Do you say well of course I do, Or do you think it's such a torment, And wonder why they chose you? If someone were to come up to you, And say I don't know what to do, Would you help turn their gray skies blue, Or would you wonder how could you? You see, we always try to make an excuse, And try to put it off for another time or place, But when we talk to God does he refuse? Why can't we help people in our life's race? When someone needs us, why do we tend to run, When we should be jumping at the chance, Shouldn't we help them see the sun, Why to we keep standing in a non helping stance? So, seize this day as if it were your last, Stand for what you believe, Seize this moment, don't dwell on the past, Open your heart and God's blessings you'll receive. by Lindsey Bates *HeavenSentAngel5@aol.com* 9-17-00
